Size Guide
Every MARÉA piece is 316L stainless steel, so a good fit is about comfort, not resizing. Here is exactly how we size each category, and how to measure yourself in under a minute with a strip of paper and a ruler.
Necklaces
Our necklaces come in one length with a built-in extender chain, so you can wear the same piece as a choker or let it sit lower. Lengths are given in inches.
| Length | Where it sits | Wear it for |
|---|---|---|
| 14–16" | Base of the neck / collarbone | The top layer of a stack |
| 16–18" | Just below the collarbone | Everyday, worn alone |
| 18–20" | Top of the neckline | The bottom layer, or over a shirt |
How to measure: wrap a piece of string where you want the chain to fall, mark it, then measure the string flat against a ruler.
Chain bracelets
Chain and herringbone bracelets come in 6" and 7".
| Size | Fits a wrist of | How it wears |
|---|---|---|
| 6" (16 cm) | 5.5"–6" | Close to the wrist |
| 7" (18 cm) | 6"–6.75" | Relaxed, with a little movement |
How to measure: wrap a strip of paper snugly around your wrist just below the wrist bone, mark where it overlaps, and measure it flat. Add about half an inch for a comfortable drape. If you are between sizes, size up.
Bangles
Bangles are rigid slip-ons with no clasp, so they are sized by the opening they need to pass over your hand — not by wrist circumference.
| Size | Inner diameter | Fits |
|---|---|---|
| S/M | ~6 cm | Most small to medium hands |
| M/L | ~6.5 cm | Medium to larger hands, or a looser fit |
How to measure: press your thumb into your palm as if slipping a bangle on, and measure around the widest part of your hand. Under 8" go with S/M; 8" and over go with M/L.
Rings
Rings are US sizes 5 to 9. Stacking rings sit flat, so your usual size is the right one.
| US size | Inner diameter | Inner circumference |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | 15.7 mm | 49.3 mm |
| 6 | 16.5 mm | 51.9 mm |
| 7 | 17.3 mm | 54.4 mm |
| 8 | 18.1 mm | 57.0 mm |
| 9 | 18.9 mm | 59.5 mm |
How to measure: wrap a strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark the overlap and measure it in millimetres — that is your inner circumference. Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest, and make sure it passes over your knuckle. Between sizes, size up.
Hoops and earrings
Hoops are named by their outer diameter, so the millimetres are always on the label.
| Size | Diameter | How it reads |
|---|---|---|
| Small | 12 mm | Sits close to the lobe — the everyday hoop |
| Medium | 16 mm | Visible from the front, still light |
| Large | 20 mm | Reads across a room |
Huggies are 8 mm and sit snug against the lobe. Studs are one size.
Open adjustable rings
Our open rings come in one size, about 17 mm inner diameter (close to a US size 7). The open back lets you gently open or close the ring to fit, so there is no size to choose.
